Since the 1930’s Jumbo guitars have been making themselves heard. Turner Jumbos are no exception and are great for strummers who appreciate the incredible volume and extra bass created by the larger size of the guitars’ 430mm lower bout.
The Turner 55 CE combines solid tonewoods selected for their complimentary sounds. The solid mahogany back and sides gives an incredibly warm, full tone and the solid cedar top gives a mellow, nuanced and very responsive finish. When you combine this with the 430mm lower bout of a Turner Jumbo you get a huge sound with full, resonant bass response and warm, mellow sustain.
Aesthetically, subtlety perhaps best describes the Turner 50 Series. The rich grain of the solid cedar top and caramel mahogany back and sides give these guitars a beautiful vintage look. This is complimented by the classy, minimalist decoration with offset pearl fret markers on the 12th and a stunningly detailed abalone rosette. They have a smooth cutaway for easy easy access to the upper frets. There’s also a Fishman Isys+ under saddle pickup and preamp system (which includes built in guitar tuner), offering a true acoustic tone either in a studio or playing live!
