The Turner Dreadnought Series is amongst the most popular steel string acoustic guitar in our range. An iconic and instantly recognisable body shape offering 'deep bass' together with clear highs a Turner Dreadnought will sit with the band whatever your style of music.
Featured here is the Turner 40 CE utilizing quality tonewoods in this case a solid spruce top paired with 'Ovangkol' back and sides. Ovangkol whilst tonally similar sounding to rosewood offers a slightly 'fuller' midrange voice, ovangkol offers a high end that is not quite as bright as maple. Always popular amongst Turner Guitar players the 40 series are real 'lookers' and do stand out from the crowd!
From custom hand scalloped bracing to stylish body binding and concentric-ring rosettes the Turner 40 series are quality instruments. Offset pearl fret markers and Turner custom solid rosewood bridge complete the asthetics and when paired with a state-of-the-art onboard electronic system utilising the Fishman Isys+ system (which includes built in guitar tuner) a true acoustic tone will be delivered either in the studio or playing live, simply unplugged these guitars sound great!
I bought a Turner 82 CE in April. I'm very pleased with it and its a joy to play. I do a lot of finger style playing at local folk clubs covering the styles of Doc Watson, John Prine, Merle Travis, Chet Atkins etc and its just the job! I’ve had plenty of interest and compliments regarding the guitar. A friend has made enquiries about buying one!- Jonathan Beech
