The Turner Grand Concert features a smaller body & waist and also a shallower depth than say a standard Dreadnought shape. Players often comment on how comfortable an instrument it is to play - whether in a studio on stage or simply seated. Excellent and defined treble tone incorprating smooth bass with great sustain the Turner Grand Concert offers just the right amount of punch and volume whilst still remaining 'open' sounding.
Featured here the Turner 52 CE utilizing tonewoods that blend with true harmony - in this case a solid 'Cedar' top paired with solid 'Mahogany' back and sides that radiate a warmth of tone that could easily melt chocolate! The colorful midrange from the mahogany & smooth warmth & clarity from the cedar will encourage and inspire your creativity. They're all our babies but we are really pleased how the 50 Series evolved here at Turner!
Subtlety perhaps best describes the Turner 50 Series. Using solid tonewoods that will mature wonderfully, the rich dark look of the cedar top suggests that you may have already owned it years! Offset pearl fret markers on the12th and a stunningly detailed soundhole rosette are the only enhancements shouting from this guitar. A faithful electronic system utilising the Fishman Isys+ system (which includes built in guitar tuner) offering a true acoustic tone either in a studio or playing live, simply unplugged these guitars sound great! A smooth venetian cutaway allows easy access to the upper frets.
What a beauty - the colour of the rosewood is dark and deep & looks lovely. The neck is very comfortable indeed and a low action makes it a very easy guitar to play. I love the headstock shape and the 45mm nut width is perfect for me as I fingerpick most of the time. The onboard tuner works great! Model: Turner 72 CE- Bob Smith
