The Turner Grand Concert features a smaller body & waist and also a shallower depth than say a standard Dreadnought shape. Players often comment on how comfortable an instrument it is to play - whether in a studio on stage or simply seated. Excellent and defined treble tone incorprating smooth bass with great sustain the Turner Grand Concert offers just the right amount of punch and volume whilst still remaining 'open' sounding.
Featured here is the Turner 72 CE. For this series of guitars we are using a solid and articulate 'Spruce' top together with beautiful deep rosewood back and sides. 'Rosewood' offers a voluptuous tone range of staggeringly defined depth and beautiful ringing treble, with just a hint of middle cut. Perfect for most playing styles whether it be fingerpicking or strumming rosewood never fails to deliver a signature tone that is easily recognized throughout acoustic guitar history. If you appreciate a traditional wholesome guitar tone that will project your playing superbly then rosewood will reward your investment for years to come.
The Turner 70 Series includes offset snowflake fingerboard inlays on a bound rosewood fingerboard, ornate decorative body binding, decorative Abalone inlays around the soundhole, upgrade custom tuning pegs. A faithful electronic system utilising the Fishman Isys+ (which includes a built in guitar tuner) providing a true acoustic tone either in a studio or playing live, unplugged - rosewood guitars sound great. A smooth venetian cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets.
I bought a Turner 82 CE in April. I'm very pleased with it and its a joy to play. I do a lot of finger style playing at local folk clubs covering the styles of Doc Watson, John Prine, Merle Travis, Chet Atkins etc and its just the job! I’ve had plenty of interest and compliments regarding the guitar. A friend has made enquiries about buying one!- Jonathan Beech
